About our Voice Program

Your voice is your most personal instrument — and at LyriCo Conservatory, the standards are set at the highest level. Founded by two professional opera singers who have performed at the Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, and leading stages across Europe, our voice department brings world-class training to Gainesville, Florida.

Whether you are stepping into your first lesson or preparing for conservatory auditions, our faculty meet you exactly where you are and take you further than you imagined. Students learn healthy technique, expressive artistry, and real performance confidence — the kind that holds up under pressure.

We teach across every style: classical, musical theatre, pop, contemporary, and everything in between. Private lessons are fully customized to each student’s voice, goals, and timeline.

What You Will Study

Who Studies Voice At LyriCo

Students range from age 5 to adult. We serve beginners discovering their voice for the first time, students preparing for school productions and competitions, and serious young singers pursuing conservatory-level training. Adults are welcome at all experience levels. Many professional singers in the Gainesville rock scene stud here to keep their voices in top form, including Ken Block of Sister Hazel.

Our Voice Teachers

All voice instruction at LyriCo is led by trained singers that meet students where they are. Each has their own expertise, so we have a range of styles and genres covered. Lessons with founders Cooper Nolan or Lori Guilbeau Nolan are available by audition only. Contact us to learn more about the full faculty roster.
