About our Strings Program

At LyriCo Conservatory, our strings program nurtures musicians from their very first notes through advanced artistry. Students begin with the Suzuki method, developing ear training, tone, and musical confidence in an encouraging environment. As they progress, they transition into traditional techniques and repertoire, exploring classical works, ensemble playing, and modern performance styles. Whether on violin, viola, cello, or double bass, our curriculum emphasizes both technical precision and expressive musicianship, empowering each player to grow with joy and discipline.

FAQ

How old does my child have to be to start taking music lessons?

Music lessons are great at any age! But we focus on primary instruments starting at around 5.

For String Instruments, we Highly recommend https://www.gviolins.com/

They have an assortment of sting instruments for sale and rent.

You are welcome to drop off your child and return a few minutes before their lesson is done! If you would like to sit in on your child’s music class, we always have an open door policy and you are free to sit in at any time.

There is no set answer of how long it takes to learn an instrument. With regular practice, a basic level of playing can be accomplished in a few months. Most of our students take lessons on a long term basis because they want to be constantly improving and they find the lessons enjoyable.

Classes range from 5- 8 students. Class size varies to make sure all students get individual attention.
