Terms & Conditions and School Policies
Effective as of June 1, 2025
At LyriCo Conservatory, our teachers reserve dedicated weekly time for your lessons, prepare personalized material, and invest deeply in each student’s artistic growth. To ensure a smooth and rewarding experience for all, the following terms and conditions apply to all private lessons, group classes, and program participation.
1. Attendance & Lesson Expectations
Students are expected to arrive on time and prepared for each lesson or class.
Late arrivals will receive instruction for the remaining scheduled time.
Consistent attendance is essential for student progress. Repeated absences may affect advancement or eligibility for performances.
2. Make-Up Lesson Policy (Private Lessons Only)
Students are allowed up to 3 make-up credits within a rolling 90-day period, provided the lesson is canceled at least 24 hours in advance via email or the MyLyriCo portal.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice (including illness) are not eligible for a live make-up. In this case, your teacher will provide a video assignment and practice instructions for that week.
Make-up lessons must be scheduled in advance and cannot be rescheduled once booked.
Make-up credits expire 30 days after membership ends and are not transferable.
3. Group Class Policy
Group classes are non-refundable and do not include make-up options, as the class structure depends on consistent group attendance.
Students are encouraged to attend regularly to maintain momentum and progress.
4. Attire & Equipment
Students must arrive in appropriate attire:
Dance/Movement Classes: Fitted, moveable clothing and appropriate footwear. (Jazz shoes are highly encouraged)
Acting, Voice, and Instrumental Lessons: Comfortable clothing allowing full breath support and range of motion.
Students are responsible for the care and safety of their instruments and personal belongings. LyriCo Conservatory is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
5. Injury Waiver & Assumption of Risk
By participating in LyriCo programs—including acting, voice, movement, and instrumental lessons—students (or their legal guardians) acknowledge and accept the risks of physical and performance-based activities.
LyriCo Conservatory and its staff are not liable for injuries sustained during classes, rehearsals, or performances.
All participants must sign an injury liability waiver prior to engaging in movement-based classes.
6. Scheduling & Substitutions
All scheduling, cancellations, and make-up bookings must be handled through the MyLyriCo portal.
If a teacher is unavailable, a qualified substitute may be provided. Normal cancellation policies still apply.
If a teacher becomes permanently unavailable, LyriCo will offer a new instructor with a comparable teaching style or allow you to select a different teacher.
7. Summer Hold Option
Students may request a Summer Hold (June–August) for up to two months, with 14 days’ notice prior to the 1st of the month.
Lesson time and teacher will be reserved only if tuition for the return month is prepaid.
Individual lessons may be purchased during a Summer Hold based on teacher availability.
8. Membership Cancellation
To cancel membership, submit the online cancellation form by the 15th of the month for cancellation to take effect at the end of that month.
Forms submitted after the 15th will result in billing for the following month.
Once cancellation takes effect, all make-up credits expire 30 days later.
Returning students must re-register and may not be guaranteed their previous time slot.
9. General Policies
Membership is non-transferable.
Active membership is required for participation in recitals and special performance events.
LyriCo Conservatory reserves the right to refuse service or terminate membership. If terminated by LyriCo, a prorated tuition refund will be issued.
LyriCo does not offer tuition refunds under any other circumstances.
10. Billing & Payments
Tuition is billed monthly and due on the 1st of each month.
Accounts not paid by the 15th of the month are subject to a $25 late fee.
Automatic billing via credit or debit card is encouraged for timely payment and to avoid late fees.
Returned payments are subject to a $25 returned transaction fee.
