Summer Perfoming Arts Intensive
July 13 - 24 2025
Ages: Rising 6th Graders to Graduating High School Seniors
Our Performing Arts Intensive Program
The LyriCo Summer Performing Arts Intensive has been years in the making, inspired by the elite summer training experiences found in major cities but created to bring that same level of opportunity to North Florida. This two-week intensive offers serious young performers the chance to study the three core disciplines of musical theatre: singing, acting, and dancing. Students learn, collaborate, and perform alongside experts in each field, culminating in multiple showcase opportunities directed by one of North Florida’s most respected music theatre educators, Jackie Collins. More than a camp, this is a conservatory-style experience that prepares students to train, perform, and shine at the next level.
Growth Every Day
Each day at LyriCo is designed to challenge and inspire. Students begin with group movement and vocal work before diving into focused classes, private coachings, and ensemble rehearsals. The atmosphere is professional yet encouraging, surrounded by faculty who have performed and taught at the highest levels. From the first day of lessons and rehearsals to the final showcase performance, students build confidence, discipline, and a community of peers who share the same passion for the performing arts.

Important Info
What students and parents need to know
What is the LyriCo Summer Performing Arts Intensive?
The LyriCo Summer Performing Arts Intensive is not a summer camp — it is a two-week, high-level training program designed for students who are serious about developing their craft in voice, acting, and dance.
Beginners are welcome, but all participants should be prepared for a rigorous and professional-level environment modeled after collegiate and conservatory programs.
⸻
How are students placed into groups and assigned material?
An audition video is required for placement before the start of the intensive. Each student should prepare and submit:
One memorized monologue from a published play, less than 60 seconds in length
One song from the musical theatre repertoire, less than 90 seconds in length
A dance video following the choreography we provide (you will receive an instructional video filmed from the rear perspective, and you will submit your version filmed from the front)
From these audition materials, our faculty will assign scenes and create class groupings based on each student’s experience level, current strengths, and age. Our goal is to ensure that every performer is challenged appropriately and showcased in their best light.
For early and regular registration, all three videos must be emailed to [email protected] by 8 PM June 1
Audition videos for late registration are due 1 week after payment.
Failure to submit auditions videos will result in the staff not being able to find the best pieces and situations to showcase you.
⸻
What should students prepare in advance?
All students will receive music and materials ahead of the program for both the Outreach Concert and the Final Showcase.
Students must arrive having learned and memorized all assigned music prior to Day . If there are harmonies, they will be worked on to ensure accuracy, but students must have a strong sense of all material on day 1.
In addition, every student should come prepared with at least five memorized songs from musicals or shows that they can perform for auditions, master classes, and coaching sessions.
⸻
What should students bring and wear?
• Dance/Movement Attire: Proper dancewear, jazz shoes or character shoes, and comfortable movement clothes are required daily.
• Performance Attire: Simple all-black clothing or other attire as specified for concerts.
• Other Essentials: Water bottle, notebook, and any assigned music or scripts.
⸻
Is lunch included?
Yes. Lunch is provided daily by Charlie Keller Catering and is included in tuition.
Please notify LyriCo Conservatory upon registration of any food allergies or dietary restrictions so accommodations can be made.
⸻
Are students required to attend all performances?
Yes. Attendance is mandatory for all scheduled performances and showcases, whether or not the student is performing that day. Supporting fellow artists is an important part of LyriCo’s community and training philosophy.
As of now, all performance locations are TBD, and we will be announcing those venues soon once final partnerships and logistics are confirmed.
⸻
Can current LyriCo Conservatory students pause their regular memberships?
Yes. Current LyriCo students enrolled in ongoing lessons or classes may pause their subscriptions for the month of July while participating in the Summer Intensive.
⸻
Do you offer sibling discounts?
No. We do not offer sibling discounts for the LyriCo Summer Performing Arts Intensive.
However, early registration during the Black Friday Early Enrollment window offers the best tuition savings.
