About our Songwriting Program
Songwriting Lessons at LyriCo Conservatory help students turn their musical ideas into finished songs. Whether you’re just starting out or already play an instrument, our teachers guide you through the creative process of writing melodies, crafting lyrics, and understanding how harmony and structure bring a song to life. Students gain confidence as writers and musicians while discovering their own unique artistic voice.

Our Songwriting Teachers

Emma Branch
Songwriting -Piano -Guitar
Emma Branch brings over 30 years of professional performance and songwriting experience to LyriCo Conservatory. She grew up performing musical theater with the Civic Theater of Central Florida and later studied vocal performance, theory, songwriting, and music business at Seminole State College and Belmont University. Emma has toured nationally, performing at well-known venues including Rockwood Music Hall in NYC, The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, and The Hotel Café in Los Angeles, with her original work featured in publications like *Orlando Weekly*. She is passionate about helping students develop confidence, creativity, and their own unique musical voice.
FAQ
How old does my child have to be to start taking music lessons?
Music lessons are great at any age! But we focus on primary instruments starting at around 5.
Do you offer instrument rentals?
Yes we do! Most of our instrument rentals are $25 a month, or $35 a month if you need an amplifier. No security deposit, but a minimum 2 month rental to give you time to pick the perfect instrument for you with the help of your teacher.
Do I need to stay for my child’s lesson?
You are welcome to drop off your child and return a few minutes before their lesson is done! If you would like to sit in on your child’s music class, we always have an open door policy and you are free to sit in at any time.
How long does it take to learn an instrument?
There is no set answer of how long it takes to learn an instrument. With regular practice, a basic level of playing can be accomplished in a few months. Most of our students take lessons on a long term basis because they want to be constantly improving and they find the lessons enjoyable.
How many students in each group class.
Classes range from 5- 8 students. Class size varies to make sure all students get individual attention.

All books, level wristbands, and access to our knowledge base and scheduling software are included.
Do you have any perfomances?
Yes we do! For music students, we have two big events every year (typically one in the winter, and one in late spring). We also offer smaller performance opportunities throughout the year as well.
How long do classes run?
These classes will run year round, but if you want to withdraw we just ask for a 30 day notice.
