Do I need any prior experience to take this class?
Not at all! This course is designed for all levels. Whether you’ve never touched a truss rod or you’ve changed your own strings for years, you’ll leave with a clearer understanding of how to care for your instrument.
What should I bring to the session?
Please bring your own guitar (or bass) and a fresh set of strings. If you have any tools, feel free to bring those too—but they’re not required for participation.
What will I learn to do in the course?
You’ll learn how to adjust the action, check intonation, set neck relief (truss rod), clean and prep your fretboard, and identify setup issues that affect playability and tone.
What’s the difference between the 4-week course and the 2-hour session?
The 2-hour session is a deep-dive, hands-on tutorial tailored just for you. The 4-week group course spreads out the material and allows for more repetition, practice, and community learning.
Can someone at LyriCo just set up my guitar for me?
Yes! We offer full guitar setups. And if you’re a current LyriCo student enrolled in weekly lessons, you get 50% off.
