About our Dance Program
Great singers don’t just sound good—they move with purpose and presence. Our Dance and Movement for Singers class helps vocalists build body awareness, confidence, and expressiveness on stage. Whether you’re preparing for musical theatre, opera, or contemporary performance, this course will help you connect your voice to your whole body. This course is designed in the same fashion that music theatre and opera performers receive at major conservatories all over the world.
Unlike other dance classes, our group dance classes are semi private and limited in size, ensuring each student gets individualized feedback.
- Body Alignment and Posture: Develop physical awareness to support healthy, grounded singing.
- Stage Presence: Learn how to command the stage with intention, stillness, and movement.
- Expressive Movement: Use gesture and motion to enhance emotional storytelling.
- Choreography Basics: Gain comfort learning and performing simple choreography.
- Small Semi Private Classes: Fewer students for more indivdual feedback to get you ready for the stage.

FAQ
How old does my child have to be to start taking dance lessons?
Dance lessons are great at any age! But we focus on theatre movement and dance starting at around 5.
Do you offer private Dance Lessons?
Yes! Our Dance instructors are available to help choreograph or get you ready for an audition in private sessions.
Do I need to stay for my child’s lesson?
You are welcome to drop off your child and return a few minutes before their lesson is done! If you would like to sit in on your child’s music class, we always have an open door policy and you are free to sit in at any time.
How many students in each semi private group class.
Classes range from 5- 8 students. Class size varies to make sure all students get individual attention. This is considerably smaller than traditional dance classes, which can be upwards of 20-30 participants.
How much do classes cost? What's included?
You can see our tuition Here
All books, level wristbands, and access to our knowledge base and scheduling software are included.
Do you have any perfomances?
Yes we do! For music students, we have two big events every year (typically one in the winter, and one in late spring). We also offer smaller performance opportunities throughout the year as well.
How long do classes run?
These classes will run year round, but if you want to withdraw we just ask for a 30 day notice.
What should I wear?
We recommend jazz shoes (available online for under $10) and comfortable, fitted clothing to ensure safe, effective movement—nothing too loose that could get in your way.
